| Each programme includes a City & Guilds or Edexcel qualification (NVQ) in a vocational subject - retail, customer service, administration etc - and can be supplemented by basic skills training where appropriate. |

| The training takes place in the workplace as part of the normal working day with job competence being assessed on a one-to-one basis. |

| There is no classroom study and each programme takes about six months to complete. |

| Employees who undertake Basic Skills training receive extra help from a Learning Coach and may take a little longer. |
